War of Time Episode 20: The War is Over

Act 1
Scene 1
Setting: A park area just outside the city. The Rangers have all gathered to celebrate their victory over the Tigris Rebels.

Joe: Peace at last!

Karen: I feel so happy right now.

Tai: Me too. But it's gonna take a long time for every city that was damaged to get rebuilt.

Max: Captain Logan said that was the most devastating invasion attempt that the Earth ever has, or ever will, go through.

Kara: That's just not right that Time Force has access to every time and place ever and they let us get almost defeated like that. Seems stupid to me.

Justin: I can see why they do that though. If they interfere too much with how things are supposed to be they'll end up destroying all time as anyone alive knows it.

Kara: Hmmm, I guess you're right. At any rate, we did it so what does the rest even matter?

Tai: Exactly.

Victor: We've all worked so hard. I say we take the next few days and just relax.

Joe: Sounds good to me.

He stretches his arms then lies down on the grass.

Joe: It's nice to be able to just relax and look at the sky for a while.

Tai: I don't suppose anyone's up for a little sparing?

Max: I'll spar with you. It'll be fun to fight you without those Promethium powers making you so darn strong.

Tai: Hehehe, shows what you know. The Promethium powers strengthened me even in my civilian form.

Max: Let's see it.

Tai and Max begin sparing. Neither is paying attention where they're going and Max plants his foot right on Joe's stomach.

Joe: Oofff!

He curls up and rolls to the side.

Max: Oh man, I'm sorry Joe. You ok?

Joe, barley able to breathe, squeaks out: I'll be fine.

Tai: You should pay more attention to what you’re doing.

Kara, Justin, Victor, and Karen can't help but laugh.

Karen: I've really missed times like this.

Suddenly there is a deafening cracking sound. It seems to come from all over instead of one particular direction. The Rangers grab their ears. After it passes they quickly all stand up and start looking around.

Justin: What in the world was that?

Victor: I don't know. I'd say an explosion maybe?

Tai: Doubtful. It was more like a cracking noise. Like a piece of wood breaking.

Max: It came from all over the place. I couldn't pin down a direction.

Kara: I'm almost afraid to ask what could possibly make a sound like that.

Joe: Oh my god! LOOK!

He points at the sky. In several places it appears that the sky is tearing open. Instead of blue sky with some clouds, these rips are black with green grid lines in them.

Victor: That can't be good.

The ground begins to shake beneath them.

Karen: It's an earthquake!

The Rangers lose their footing and fall to the ground.

Max: This sucks. It seems like everything's coming apart!

Bolts of lightning begin to come from the rips in the sky and strike the ground. Each bolt produces a huge explosion where it hits.

Victor: We have to get to the Megaship and find out what this is. If we don't do something soon the whole planet will probably explode.

The earthquake stops shaking so violently, though it does not stop completely.

Victor: LET'S MOVE!

The Rangers scramble to their feet and start running towards the area where they've hidden the Megaship. Several times along the way they stumble and fall because of the earthquake.

Act 2
Scene 1
Setting: The Tigris Megaship. The Rangers have just got onboard. The earthquake tremors are almost completely stopped now. The Rangers race into the control room.

Victor: EECA, any info on what's going on out there?

EECA: Negative Rangers. My scanners are unable to pinpoint anything more precise than atmospheric instability.

Justin: Maybe we can find something doing manual scans.

Kara: That could take hours. Plus we have no idea where to even start.

Max: EECA, you scanned the atmosphere right?

EECA: Yes.

Max: What about the ground?

EECA: No I did not.

Max: Then we have our starting point.

Victor: Max, Kara, Tai, and Justin, I want you to start scanning the ground. Karen and Joe, you'll help me go through EECA's logs of the atmosphere and we'll see if we can find anything.

Several minutes pass as the Rangers set about their tasks.

Joe: Nothing here is even matching up. It's like no two parts of the atmosphere even belong to the same planet.

Max: The ground scan is bringing up the same kind of readings.

EECA: The entire planet is destabilizing. At current rates, the planet will implode in approximately 8 hours.

Tai: Great. We save the planet from the Tigris just to have it blow up on us.

Victor: Maybe the Rebels did something before we finished them off to cause this.

EECA: Unlikely. No Tigris technology is this powerful.

Max: You would know I suppose.

Victor: We have to get this figured out.

EECA: Urgent incoming message from Captain Logan of Time Force.

Victor: Bring it up.

Captain Logan's face appears on the main screen.

Victor: Captain, I'm glad to see you. We've got....

Logan cuts him off.

Logan: Listen up Rangers. We have a dire situation here.

Tai: Take a number. The Earth has about 8 hours left until it implodes.

Logan: It's not just Earth, and it's not just in your time period.

Joe: What?!

Logan: Our entire universe is collapsing in all time periods. At this rate, our entire universe will be erased as if it never existed.

Karen: What could possibly be powerful enough to cause that much destruction?

Logan: It seems that the Morphing Grid is collapsing and causing every dimension it touches to do the same.

Victor: That's.....not good. What can we even do about that? We have no control over the grid.

Logan: I don't think we'll need to. We're pretty sure we know what the problem is. When the Rebels arrived they destroyed Gridster. As you all know, without Gridster, the Morphing Grid cannot exist. It's that very reason that you had to imprison him during your first fight against him instead of finishing him off. Now, he's been gone long enough that the grid is finally breaking down.

Tai: So what exactly are we suppose to do? We can't bring him back from the dead.

Logan: No, but we can send you to the few moments just before his destruction and have you extract him from his palace before the fatal blast.

Kara: Then we'll have the problem of him still being on the loose.

Victor: We'll just have to make sure that he doesn't get out of our custody. We'll stop him once and for all this time.

Max: That's a big work order. We've never been much of a match for him. And in 3000 he's even stronger than ever.

Tai: Don't forget we have several new powers ourselves. Max, you have the Lithium power, plus the Thunder Split. We also have the Ultimate Power. And let's not forget my Promethium Ranger powers.

Joe: We never really did fight against any of Gridster's forces after we got back from the Tigris dimension. For all we know we massively out power him!

Victor: I wouldn't go that far with it, but we will put up a much better fight than ever before.

Logan: Rangers, I'll leave the exact details up to you. For now, we're running out of time. I'm opening a portal for you. Because of the disturbances, I'm not able to open it on the planet. I'll have to open it in space.

Victor: That's fine. That'll put us that much closer to Gridster anyway.

Logan: It's open Rangers. It's in your hands now. Good.....

The transmission cuts out.

Justin: What happened?

The earthquakes begin again. This time they are far more violent than the first wave. EECA speaks up.

EECA: Rangers, the shaking is starting to break up the planet.

The viewing screen lights up with an image of the area that the Megaship is in. A huge crack is opening in the ground. It's moving swiftly towards the Megaship.

Tai: If we don't get off the ground now dead!

Before he can even finish his sentence the other Rangers are scrambling to the control panels to start the lift off. The Megaship lifts off the ground and hovers a few inches above the surface. Just as it lifts up the crack opens beneath it.

Kara: That was way too close.

Victor: Good thing this ship can hover. There's no way we could've fully programmed a liftoff that fast.

Karen: Oh no! Look!

She points to the screen. Everyone stares at it.

Max: Oh my god.

The crack that the Ranger just dodged reaches the city. As it opens inside the city buildings begin to crumble and fall in. Within 30 seconds the city, and all traces that it was ever even there, have vanished.

Joe: All those people just died.

EECA: Rangers, the situation is the same worldwide.

Each Ranger has a look of sorrow on their face in mourning of all the people that are dying. Victor's face quickly hardens into a look of determination.

Victor: We're going now!

He slams his hands down on the final two buttons needed to launch the Rangers course. The other Rangers suck it up and get the same determined look.

Justin, Tai, Joe, Karen, Max, Kara: Right!

The Tigris Megaship blasts off and heads for outer space.

Scene 2
Setting: Outer space. A portal is hovering near the moon. The Tigris Megaship exits the Earth's atmosphere and heads towards it.

Victor: There it is.

Max: I just hope the instability doesn't cause us to go off track again like when we ended up in the Tigris dimension.

Tai: It's a possibility, especially since Captain Logan's transmission cut out at the end.

Kara: We have no choice though. If we do get lost in time everything will be destroyed anyway, so it won't make any difference. If we succeed, none of this will have ever happened and all those people will not have died.

Victor: Exactly, so let's get moving.

The Tigris Megaship reaches the portal and vanishes.

Scene 3
Setting: The exact same spot in outer space that the Rangers just left, except now in the year 3000. The Tigris Rebel transport ships are moving into position to fire the lethal blast at the moon.

Tai: We have to hurry. They're about to fire!

EECA: Teleportation system ready at your command.

There is a glow as the Rebel's ships prepare to fire.

Victor: NOW!

Scene 4
Setting: The moon palace. Gridster and his monsters are discussing their victory.

Clipper: ...and that when I....

Gridster cuts him off.

Gridster: What is that!

Before any of his monsters can react Gridster is teleported away. At that same instant the Tigris beam hits the moon, completely destroying all traces of Gridster's palace.

Scene 5
Setting: The cargo deck of the Tigris Megaship. All 7 Rangers are standing there, ready for battle.

Max: Here he comes!

Gridster teleports in in a flash of light. He examines his surroundings in a state of confusion.

Gridster: What the heck just happened?

He then spots the Rangers.

Gridster: You! What kind of stupidity would make you bring me right into your own base?

Victor: We had no choice. If the Rebels destroy you the whole universe and several others no doubt, will cease to exist.

Kara: It's not that we like you Gridster, so don't get the wrong idea about us saving you. We just can't let the universe end that way.

Gridster gets a crazed look on his face.

Gridster: So in a last act of desperation you teleport me straight into your base. Brilliant move Rangers. Once I've destroyed you and all your toys I'll destroy the universe myself!

Victor: Not gonna happen Gridster. You're not getting off this ship.

Gridster: We'll see about that.

All Rangers: IT'S MORPHIN TIME!

(Time Fire Morphing Sequence)
(Time Lightning Morphing Sequence)
(Time Diamond Morphing Sequence)
(Time Amethyst Morphing Sequence)
(Time Onyx Morphing Sequence)
(Gold Lithium Morphing Sequence)
(Promethium Morphing Sequence)

All Rangers: Eastern Rangers! HYA!

Gridster: I see you've made some changes to your team. No matter. I'll crush you all!

Act 3
Scene 1
Setting: The cargo bay on the Tigris Megaship. The Rangers have just finished morphing. Gridster is ready to attack.

Gridster: Time to die Rangers!

He charges at the Rangers.

Victor: This is it guys!

As Gridster reaches the Rangers he begins dishing out attacks. They all try to guard, block, or dodge his attacks, but it's no use. He hits each of them, knocking them down.

Kara: That didn't go so well.

Tai: He's not even as strong as Raznor was. After our last battle, this should be easy.

Victor: Don't get too sure of yourself. He's got a lot more tricks than Raznor did.

The Rangers manage to get back on their feet.

Gridster: Back up so soon? I'll make you wish you'd stayed down.

He lifts his arms and fires beams at the Rangers. Max manages to block the beams with his weapon. The beams reflect off of it and hit a panel along the wall. Sparks fly from it.

EECA: Warning, further damage to power transfer lines could cripple the ship.

Joe: Oh crap.

Victor: Uh oh. I totally forgot to consider what damage fighting inside the Megaship could cause.

Gridster: Ha ha! It's seems I've found something that worries you a bit. Fine then. Instead of destroying you, I'll just destroy your ship!

He begins firing wildly into various parts of the area. Sparks fly after each blast. In a matter of seconds alarms start going off all over the ship.

Victor: This is bad. We have to get him out of here. We can't fight him like this.

Tai: But if we try to get him out he'll just stay here blasting the ship.

Max: We need to come up with a plan fast or he'll destroy the ship.

Karen: I have an idea. Everyone just follow my lead.

Victor: Ok.

Karen starts yelling so that Gridster can hear her.

Karen: Uh no guys! The ship can't take this. If we don't get off this ship it's going to explode with us on it. We have to abandon the ship and get to the escape pods before it's too late.

Victor: She's right. Let's go.

The Rangers start running.

Gridster watches as the Rangers take off down the corridor.

Gridster: Oh no you don't. You're not getting away that easily Rangers.

He takes off after them.

Scene 2
Setting: The corridor of the Megaship. The Rangers are running down it with Gridster in pursuit.

Kara: So what exactly are we doing?

Karen: We can't afford to let Girdster off this ship, but we can't fight him on it either. If we can get him in the simulation room and activate it, we can fight all we need to on the ship and not cause any damage to it.

Tai: Good thinking Karen.

Karen: Thanks.

Justin: There it is.

A door opens for the Rangers and they rush in. The room is completely empty except for some small metallic sensors placed on the walls and ceiling. The Rangers stand in the middle of the room. They barley have time to get turned around before Gridster enters the room as well.

Gridster: Looks like you've gone into the wrong room Rangers. There's no escape pods here.

Karen: There aren't any anywhere on this ship.

Gridster: What?

Karen: EECA, seal it now!

The door behind Gridster slams shut.

Max: You're stuck with us now Gridster.

Gridster: One little room can't hold me. I'll just blast my way out.

He fires a few blasts at the door. They have no effect.

Karen: EECA, start simulation!

Suddenly the whole room vanishes. The Rangers and Gridster are standing in an open field.

Gridster: What's this? Where's the room?

Karen: Welcome to the simulation room. Do whatever you like, but you won't be able to get out or damage our ship.

Victor: You're stuck now Gridster. No one is leaving this room until you're defeated.

Gridster: Tough words Ranger. Let's see you back them up.

Tai: Gladly.

The fight begins again. As before, Gridster is still knocking the Rangers around a lot, but not doing any real damage to them. This goes on for almost 10 minutes before Gridster takes a few steps back to take a break.

Gridster: Sooner or later I'll wear you down Rangers. You can't keep this up forever.

Joe: We're not the ones stepping back for a breather.

Kara: Looks like you're the one getting tired Gridster.

Gridster: I'd like to see any of you fight seven-on-one for that long without getting a bit tired.

Victor: Take all the time you want Gridster. This is going to be your final battle, so enjoy it all you can.

Gridster gets back into a fighting stance.

Gridster: I refuse to be stuck here in your little illusion. Once I get out I'll destroy your ship, then go down and destroy the world!

Karen: You'll never get out of here Gridster.

Gridster: We'll see about that.

He begins firing energy blasts wildly in all directions again. It's far less effective this time than when he was in the cargo bay. Most of the blasts fly off into the distance or sky and vanish. The few that actually hit the ground only send a small bit of grass flying a few inches into the air. After a few minutes of this Gridster stops. He looks around and is shocked to see his blasts had no effect.

Gridster: Impossible! That should've destroyed this room of illusions.

Victor: It's more real than you thought Gridster. Right now nothing we do can affect the ship. Essentially, we're in a completely separate universe now.

Gridster: I doubt that. You're machine is no transporter. Something from your ship is keeping this image going, and will shut it down when you command it. All I have to do is destroy that piece and I'll be free.

Max: You could spend years searching for it before you'd find it. And it's not like we're going to let you search.

Gridster (softly to himself): You underestimate me Rangers.

He reaches down to his arm. A small wristband appears that has a few buttons and a small screen on it.

Gridster (softly to himself): Scanner activated. I should be out of here in a matter of minutes.

Justin: Ha! He's too shocked to even talk back.

Gridster looks right at Justin.

Gridster: You assume too much little man. And for that, you pay!

In a flash Gridster vanishes. In that same instant he's standing right behind Justin.

Kara: Look out!

Justin turns, but it's too late. Gridster's powerful arm slams Justin right on the chest, just below his neck. The impact lifts him into the air. He sails several feet before crashing down to the ground. He's clutching the spot he got hit and seems to be having a hard time breathing. Karen rushes over to him.

Karen: Are you ok?

Justin (raspy from lack of air): I think so. I just have to catch my breath.

Karen stays by Justin trying to help him out while the other Rangers get into battle stance by Gridster.

Gridster: Who's next?

Tai runs up to Gridster's back. He slips his arms under Gridster and gets him into a lock.

Tai: You are Gridster. Now guys!

By this time Justin has managed to get back up. He and Karen rejoin the group.

Victor: It's blaster time guys. Fire Staff, power up!

Justin: Lighting Strikers, power up!

Kara: Diamond Cutter, power up!

Karen: Amethyst Blaster, power up!

Joe: Onyx Chargers, power up!

Max: Lithium Saber, power up!

Victor: EASTERN BLASTER!

Victor throws the Fire Staff into the air. It stays suspended horizontally. Justin throws up the Lightning Strikers. They land sideways on top of the Fire Staff. Kara tosses the Diamond Cutter. It sets on top of the Strikers. Karen throws the Amethyst Blaster. It lands on top of the Cutter with its handle forming the handle of the Eastern Blaster. Finally Joe tosses the Onyx Chargers and they hook onto the bottom of the Strikers. The Eastern Blaster falls into Victors hands. The other Rangers stand to his sides.

Victor: Tai, as we fire you get out of the way.

Tai: Gotcha.

Just as the Rangers get ready to fire their communicators go off. Captain Logan's voice can be heard from them.

Logan: Rangers, I just want to remind you that you can't destroy him.

Max: We know sir. We plan to imprison him the same way we did the last time.

Logan: Ok Rangers. I just wanted to make sure.

Tai: Relax Captain. We've got it all covered.

Logan: Alright then. Captain Logan, out.

Victor: Fire!

A beam with all the Ranger's colors leaves the blaster. Tai quickly ducks out of the way, leaving only Gridster to take the blast. As the beam moves, Max charges forward, keeping pace with it. The instant it hits Gridster he slashes with his Lithium Saber. There is a decent sized explosion that knocks Gridster down and sends him flying back several feet. While Gridster attempts to get back up, the Rangers put away their weapons and regroup.

Tai: Nice job guys. That one hurt him quite a bit.

Joe: Thanks for holding him down.

Tai: Anytime.

Victor: Max, you said we'd imprison Gridster the way we did before. There's just one problem. That seal wasn't strong enough.

Max: Yes it was. It held for over 1000 years, and was only broken because someone removed our coins.

Victor: Well, that's a problem we'll have to address this time. We need this one to be permanent.

Tai: Last time we used all 6 Ranger powers. This time, if you count when Max does the Thunder Split, we have 8 Rangers. That extra power should be very useful.

Victor: Good point. And this time, we'll use just our powers for the seal, no coins. That way there's no way for someone to remove the seal.

Max: We've got our game plan. Now let's finish this.

Gridster makes it back to his feet just as Max says this.

Gridster: Very impressive Rangers. You've gotten much stronger since we last fought.

Kara: You haven't seen anything yet.

Victor, Justin, Kara, Karen, and Joe: ULTIMATE POWER, NOW!

(Ultimate Fire transformation)
(Ultimate Lighting transformation)
(Ultimate Diamond transformation)
(Ultimate Amethyst transformation)
(Ultimate Onyx transformation)

Max: Thunder Split!

A gold glow surrounds the Lithium Ranger. His body appears to move to the side. There are now two bodies standing there. The glow vanishes and both the Thunder Ranger and Lithium Ranger are standing there.

All 8 Rangers stand together.

Gridster: What the....?! Nice trick Rangers. But still, it won't be enough to beat me! I'll crush you all!

He takes off running at the Rangers.

Tai: Give it your best shot!

Gridster worms his way into the middle of the Ranger's group. He starts dishing out multiple punches to each Ranger. Sparks fly with each hit, but the Rangers are unphased by them.

Kara: Ha! He can't even damage us with the Ultimate power activated.

Gridster: This isn't possible! You can't be stronger than me!

Victor grabs Gridster's shoulder and turns him around so they are face to face.

Victor: Eat this!

Victor lands a punch right in Gridster's face. Gridster grabs his face and stumbles back several steps.

Victor: It's time Rangers. Let's end this.

The Rangers form a circle around Gridster. They then lift their arms up into the air and spread them as far as they can. Their hands begin to glow. They bring their hands down to their belt buckles to focus their power.

Victor: This is the end Gridster. This time you won't get out of your prison.

Gridster: This can't be!

An electronic voice comes from Gridster's wristband.

Voice: Device located.

Gridster looks around. The device that creates the simulation now appears to glow to his eyes.

Gridster: Excellent.

As the Rangers work the finishing touches of focusing their energy Gridster fires a blast at the device. It explodes and the simulation ends in a flash.

Justin: He's broken the simulator.

Victor: Then we have to hurry.

Gridster: You'll never capture me now.

He blasts the floor directly beneath him and vanishes down the hole.

Victor: EECA, block all exits on the floor below us.

EECA: Lockdown commencing.

Kara: He can blast through the doors.

Joe: We shouldn't stay in space. If he breeches the exterior of the ship he'll cause it to explode.

Max: EECA, begin decent to Earth.

EECA: Descending now.

Scene 3
Setting: Just outside Earth's atmosphere. The Tigris Megaship is starting to go back down to the planet.

Scene 4
Setting: The simulation room on the Megaship.

EECA: We are now back inside the Earth's atmosphere.

Max: That's one problem solved.

Tai: EECA, locate Gridster.

EECA: Scanning ship now.

Scene 5
Setting: The lowest deck of the Tigris Megaship. Gridster is standing there looking around.

Gridster: Good, we're back on Earth. Now to make my escape and destroy this planet.

He blasts a hole in the floor. Alarms start going off.

Gridster: Time to make my exit.

He jumps out through the hole.

Act 4
Scene 1
Setting: The simulation room. The alarms have just started going off.

Karen: What's that?

EECA: Lower deck breeched.

Joe: Crap, seems like Gridster got out.

Victor: EECA, can you confirm that?

EECA: Gridster's energy signature detected on Earth directly below us.

Tai: Let's go then.

The Rangers teleport off the ship and back to ground level. Gridster is standing there.

Gridster: You have the upper hand when you're in that form. But now I'll tip the scales in my favor.

He lifts his arms up.

Justin: This looks bad.

Gridster: Grid powers, strengthen me!

A portal opens in the sky. He is taken into it. There is a flash of light as the portal closes. He then reappears as a giant.

Gridster: Let's see if that power transfers to your zords as well Rangers.

Victor, Justin, Kara, Karen, Joe, and Thunder Ranger: TIME JETS ONLINE!

Scene 2
Setting: The Tigris Megaship. The cargo bay opens. A small runway extends out of it. The Time Jets engine's fire up. After building up pressure for a few seconds the jets launch out of the bay. The Rangers teleport to the cockpits.

Victor: TIME JET MEGAZORD!

The Orange Time Jet starts to fly in a formation. The Blue and Black Jets fly on its left and right with the wings almost touching. The White and Purple Jets turn and fly backwards, lining up with the tail section of the Orange Jet. The Gold Jet flies a few dozen feet above the Orange Jet. The Orange Jet transforms its wings and tail fins into slots to hook arms and legs. The White and Purple jets fold their wings up and attach to the Orange Jet. Blue and Black do the same. The Blue and Black jets bend to form arms. The White and Purple Jets bend to form feet. The Gold Jet lands on top of the Orange Jet to finish forming the body. The Orange cockpit swings down revealing a head. The Megazord turns upright and lands.

Victor, Justin, Kara, Karen, Joe, and Thunder Ranger: Time Jet Megazord, ready.

Gridster: I hope you've got more than that Rangers. I can rip that tin can apart with ease.

Lithium Ranger: Then I'll bring the rest of my power to the fight. LITHIUM WARRIOR ZORD!

A gold beam leaves the Lithium Ranger's morpher. The sky turns black. Three gold lightning bolts strike the morpher. Where Lithium Ranger was standing his zord now stands.

Gridster: Two tin cans instead of one will make no difference.

Tai: Then let's make it three. PROMETHIUM WARRIOR ZORD!

The sky turns black. Two funnel clouds touch down and converge on the Promethium Ranger. They draw into his body. He starts expanding to zord size. As he grows, his body changes from human Ranger to the Promethium Warrior Zord.

Gridster: Outnumbering me isn't going to work Rangers. Except for maybe Promethium Ranger's zord, you pose no challenge to me.

Victor: Then we'll take it up a few notches.

All Rangers except Promethium: TIME JET WARRIOR ZORD POWER!

The Rangers press the buttons under their consoles. The Time Jet Megazord and Lithium Warrior Zord begin to glow. The Megazord shrinks a little bit, while the Warrior Zord expands. The Warrior Zord then splits in two. The halves move in front of and behind the Megazord. They then close over the Megazord and become one piece again. The resulting machine stands the same size as the Time Jet Megazord normally is. It looks just like the Time Jet Megazord except the colors are that of the Lithium Warrior Zord. The glowing stops and the eyes of the zord light up.

All Rangers except Promethium: ULTRAZORD POWER!

The Tigris Megaship appears in the sky above the Time Jet Warrior Zord. The Time Jet Warrior Zord jumps into the air. As it rises above the Tigris Megaship the Megaship begins to climb so that both zords are constantly the same height in the air. In a flash of light the Megaship breaks apart into 5 separate pieces. Two attach to then wrap around the arms of the Time Jet Warrior Zord like armor. Two attach to the legs and do the same as the arms did. The 5th piece molds itself around the head to form a helmet. The resulting machine is twice the size of the Time Jet Warrior Zord and looks very bulky. Out of the backs of the arms 2 guns rise and come up over the shoulders. Thrusters appear in the outside of the legs. The Ultrazord then comes crashing down to the ground and leaves a small crater where it lands.

All Rangers except Promethium: ULTRAZORD, FULL POWER!

Gridster: What the heck is that?!

Victor: Let me introduce you to the Ultrazord, the most powerful zord ever built for the Eastern Rangers.

Gridster: Let's see what it's got.

Gridster starts walking towards the zords. The Ultrazord and Promethium Warrior Zord begin moving towards Gridster as well. The zords meet up with him. Gridster strikes at the Ultrazord first. Sparks fly and a gash is left in the zord's armor.

Gridster: As large as it is that zord isn't very strong Rangers.

Kara: A small scratch doesn't mean you've won the battle.

The Ultrazord lifts its arm and slams Gridster in the chest. It knocks the wind out of him and he bends over.

Gridster: OOFFF.

Tai: My turn.

The Promethium Warrior Zord moves in on Gridster. It grabs his head and lifts so he's standing straight up. It lets go and begins rapidly punching him in the chest. After about 20 blows it stops and Gridster falls.

Victor: We've got him now.

Lithium Ranger: We should finish this now before he recovers.

Victor: Agreed.

All Rangers except Promethium: ULTRA BLAST!

Tai: PROMETHIUM STRIKE!

The guns on the shoulders of the Ultrazord begin to charge up. The zord and the guns start to glow, though the rest of the zord is glowing dimmer than the two guns are. After a few seconds 2 very thin beams of energy erupt from the shoulder guns. They strike the monster making it unable to even move. Then the rest of the energy from the zord follows, still in the shape of the Ultrazord. The energy passes through Gridster.

The Promethium Warrior Zord pulls back its fists. They charge up. It pushes them forward like a punch. The black energy from the fists flies out and strikes Gridster.

The energies collide inside Gridster. Sparks fly from all over his body. He struggles to get back up.

Joe: No way! That was a direct hit!

Victor: He should be beaten.

Tai: He should be dead after that.

Gridster (said with difficulty breathing): What I lack in physical power I make up for in energy control.

He groans and spreads his arms out. As he does all the energy from the Ranger's blasts vanishes from his body.

Thunder Ranger: No way!

Justin: What do we do now?

Tai: We could do exactly what we did to beat Raznor. I can focus all my power into the Ultrazord to make a super powerful blast.

Victor: But that might kill him.

Tai: I doubt it. If he can take both our blasts no problem, then the combined version should damage him significantly without destroying him.

Lithium Ranger: It's a risk we have to take I guess. There's nothing else we can do.

Tai: Here it goes then.

Both the Promethium Warrior Zord and the Ultrazord begin to glow.

Victor: We'll fire just as soon as we start to overload.

Justin, Kara, Karen, Joe, and Thunder Ranger: Right!

Gridster: Now what are you trying to do?

Tai: You'll see.

Gridster: Whatever it is, I won't let you finish getting ready for it.

He advances toward the zords.

Kara: We can't get ready for this attack and defend against his attacks at the same time.

Victor: How much energy do we have?

Karen: Fifty percent of the Promethium Warrior Zord's power.

Victor: We'll have to start the blast then. Everyone ready?

Justin: Yep.

Kara: Let's do it.

Karen: All set.

Joe: Ready.

Thunder and Lithium Rangers at the same time: Good to go.

Tai: Let's finish this once and for all!

All Rangers: Ultra Blast!

A narrow beam of light, about as thick as the Ultrazord's hands, leaves the chest and flies towards Gridster. He attempts to dodge it, but it circles back around and hits him. The beam paralyses him.

Gridster: What is this? What are you doing?

Victor: This is the end Gridster.

Karen: Power transfer complete!

All Rangers: FIRE!

The energy hits Gridster with full force.

Gridster: AAAHHHH!

The area all around Gridster is engulfed in an explosion. As the blast clears out Gridster collapses. He then slowly shrinks back down to his normal size.

Justin: We did it!

Joe: Not quite yet. There's still one thing we have to do.

Victor: Let's go end this guys.

All Rangers: Zords, power down!

The Ultrazord and Promethium Warrior Zord vanish. The Rangers teleport down to ground level, right where Gridster is laying.

Gridster: How can this be? How did you beat me?

Kara: The Tigris Rebels were far stronger than you. We had to get strong enough to beat them, so beating you became no problem.

Gridster: I severely underestimated you Rangers. But know this. Someday I will get free again. And as you already know, the longer I'm imprisoned the stronger I get.

Victor: You'll never get out of this prison Gridster. We've learned from the last time.

Thunder Ranger: Remember Rangers, we have to use every bit of power we have.

The Rangers form a circle around Gridster. They then lift their arms up into the air and spread them as far as they can. Their hands begin to glow. They bring their hands down to their belt buckles to focus their power. Their whole bodies start glowing.

Victor: Goodbye Gridster.

The Rangers extend their arms towards Gridster. A stream of power corresponding to each Rangers color leaves their bodies. The beams meet right above Gridster. The combined beam turns a bronze color and covers Gridster's entire body. The beam causes him to start shrinking. As he does the beam becomes more and more concentrated. Soon all that's there is a tiny oval shaped light about the size of a softball. It grows very bright for a few moments, then the light and the beams from the Rangers vanish. A crystal softly lands on the ground where Gridster lay. The Rangers lower their arms, and as they do their suits vanish. Also, the Thunder Split ends. Victor walks over to the crystal and picks it up.

Max: That's the end of Gridster.

Joe (sadly): And the Eastern Rangers.

Tai: We did it everyone. We beat Gridster and saved the world again.

Victor: We better get back to the Megaship. We need to let Captain Logan know we're ready to go home.

The Rangers turn and start walking away. As they do, the Tigris Megaship begins to descend near them.

Scene 3
Setting: The control room of the Tigris Megaship. The Rangers are standing around the main viewing screen. Captain Logan's image can be seen on it.

Victor: Sir, we're proud to report that Gridster has been captured. The war is finally over.

Logan: Congratulations on a job well done Rangers.

Joe: Captain Logan, we're ready to go home now. Can you open the portal for us?

Logan: Rangers, this war has caused unrepairable damage to the structure of time itself. For that reason, I cannot send you back to the time you just came from.

Karen: What? Then what time can you send us back to?

Logan: In order to preserve the structure of time, I must send you back just moments after you first left to come to 3000. Doing so will make it as if the War of Time never occurred at all.

Kara: After all that work we did you're just going to erase it? Why didn't you just do that in the first place?

Logan: Erasing events in time is dangerous business. At the time it was far less dangerous to bring you to the future and just let the war play out. But now things have advanced too far and must be undone. I do apologize Rangers.

Max: Don't worry about it sir. Even if the world never knows what we did, we have the memories. And we've all grown so much from this. It's an experience none of us would trade for anything.

Justin: Um, I have one question.

Logan: Yes Justin.

Justin: I didn't come from the same time as the other Rangers, remember? They picked me up when the Rebels attacked. Am I going back to my own time?

Logan: No. You are part of the team now, and must remain with the team.

Justin: But won't that mean there'll be two of me in the same time period?

Logan: Yes it will. You will have to take every caution to avoid yourself until after the events that brought you into the Eastern Rangers.

Justin: Ok, I guess.

Victor: Don't worry Justin. We almost never interact with the other team of Rangers, so you should have no problem avoiding yourself if you stick with us.

Logan: Rangers, I've opened the portal for you. I'm allowing you to keep all the weapons you've gained here because I know you'll be responsible with them. This is goodbye Rangers. It's been wonderful working with you all.

Victor: We've enjoyed it as well sir. Goodbye Captain.

The image fades from the screen.

Tai: So who's ready to go home?

Karen: I think we all are Tai.

Tai: Then let's go.

He grabs the controls and starts lifting the Megaship into the air. The time portal is directly above them. The ship keeps rising and goes directly into the portal.

Scene 4
Setting: The year 1997, just outside the Power Chamber. A time portal opens in the sky and the Tigris Megaship appears. It begins to land right beside the Power Chamber.

Scene 5
Setting: Inside the Power Chamber. The Eastern Rangers have just left for 3000. The Megaship's landing outside is causing the whole building to shake.

Alpha: Aye, ai, ai, ai, ai. What's going on?

Zordon: Some type of large ship seems to be landing just outside the building.

Alpha: Oh no! Not when the Rangers have just left. Preparing Power Chamber defense systems.

The Power Chamber begins to go into lockdown.

Scene 6
Setting: The Tigris Megaship. The Rangers are looking at the Power Chamber on the viewing screen.

Victor: Uh oh.

Karen: What?

Victor: It looks like the Power Chamber is going into lockdown.

Kara: Why?

Tai: I bet the ship's landing has Alpha and Zordon spooked.

Victor: I'll contact them and let them know it's us.

Scene 7
Setting: Inside the Power Chamber. Alpha and Zordon are putting the finishing touches on the lockdown procedure. The Viewing Globe comes to life and Victor's face appears on it.

Victor: Zordon, Alpha, you don't need to worry. It's just us.

Alpha: Huh? Really? But didn't you just leave?

Victor: Well, our younger selves did. We've beaten Gridster so Captain Logan sent us back here.

Zordon: Judging from your method of arrival, I'm sure you have a lot to tell us about. We'll unlock the Power Chamber and you can explain the whole story to us.

Victor: Thanks. We'll be right in.

Act 5
Scene 1
Setting: Inside the Power Chamber. The Rangers have just finished telling Zordon and Alpha everything about their battles.

Zordon: Well, that is quite the adventure Rangers. And, Justin, it is my honor to welcome you to the team. When I see you again as the Blue Turbo Ranger, I will not let on that we've already met.

Justin: Thank you Zordon.

Victor: I almost forgot.

He pulls the crystal Gridster is imprisoned in out of his pocket.

Victor: What should we do with this?

Zordon: Alpha will take it and put it in a safe place.

Alpha walks over to Victor. Victor gladly hands over the crystal.

Joe: That's it then isn't it? Our job as Rangers is done.

Zordon: For now, yes, your battles are over. But the job of Power Ranger is not one that ever truly has an end. Anytime there is someone in need it is your duty to help them to the best of your ability. Though your powers are now gone, you still posses the knowledge and strength you gained from your battles.

Tai: Not to mention an army of zords.

Everyone laughs.

Zordon: Yes, and an army of zords. For now Rangers, our paths separate. In the future you may be called upon again to resume your duties as Rangers. But for the time being, peace has been restored. It is time for you all to return to your lives and pick up where you left off. You have a unique advantage over most Rangers as you return to your daily lives this time. It is as if you never left. None before you have had this chance. And, knowing you all, you will make the most out of this unique opportunity.

Karen: We will Zordon.

Victor: Goodbye Zordon. Goodbye Alpha.

Justin: It was nice meeting both of you.

Kara: It's weird leaving like this.

Karen: We'll miss you both.

Joe: But it will be nice to go home finally.

Max: You can say that again.

Tai: Goodbye.

Zordon: Goodbye Rangers, and may the power protect you always.

The Rangers turn and leave the Power Chamber.

Alpha: It seems a shame that their whole battle will be forgotten by the world.

Zordon: The War of Time may not be remembered by the world, but it will live on forever in the hearts of the Eastern Rangers.

The End
